The pool was a standout, clean, wonderfully deep at 3m, and full of Bali vibes. Breakfast had plenty of choices for different tastes, with a changing menu each day; they cooked the bacon and sausage fresh to order. It was also easy to get to the MRT and buses, and there are good places to eat nearby. Our room was clean, and the service was great. Everyone was friendly and helpful, including housekeeping and Reception. Thalya was especially attentive. For a newer, fully renovated room, choose Nakula or a room above it. The rooms below that are more old-fashioned, though still okay. We had a great stay and hope to return.

We chose Grand Sahid Jaya hoping for a comfortable place to stay, and it worked out well. My wife and I were very happy with our 3 days and 2 nights there. Thanks to Mba Adelia at the hotel front office for looking after us so warmly.

The room was quiet and I slept really well, with fresh air too. Everyone on the team was kind. Talia at the reception desk had a lovely smile and was eager to help customers with their problems, giving good answers. She seemed to enjoy her work. Thanks for making my stay at this wonderful place a good one. Wishing all the employees happiness!

The room was alright, but cigarette odor hung around the beds, and outside noise kept me up all night. I couldn't tell whether the windows weren't shut properly or just weren't soundproof. It's an old luxury hotel close to Setiabudi Astra MRT station exit, across from Chillax outdoor food courts. If you're after a central Jakarta hotel, this could work, but try to get a soundproofed room so you can rest better.

I checked out the next morning and moved to a different hotel after a frustrating night here on 15 April 2026. The room's bathtub was clogged, and nothing happened for two hours after I reported it. I finally went down to the front desk to chase it up myself. Getting help was difficult throughout. It took several calls to reach reception, then over an hour for a response. Room service was also slow to answer and didn't respond properly. Breakfast was another problem: the dining room was much too small, and by 7:30 AM every seat was taken. For a hotel at this level, that's unacceptable. The service and lack of responsiveness point to poor management, and the place needs significant improvement.
