I picked Whiz Point Simatupang because it was close to my event venue, but I’m very disappointed and don’t think I’d ever stay here again. For the price and the large deposit they ask for at the start, I expected better service than a regular hotel. The stay was pretty traumatic, and I don’t feel the hotel cared about guests’ well-being. The entrance was slightly raised above the rest of the room, with no warning sign. I tripped and fell hard with my backpack on, injuring my arm so badly I couldn’t move it fully afterward. I had to see a doctor and take painkillers. If it doesn’t improve in the next few days, I may need an orthopedic doctor to check for fractures. To be fair, they did offer to drive me to medical professionals, but I had somewhere else to go before heading to a clinic by myself because I couldn’t let my sprained elbow ruin the whole day. I also waited about 20 minutes for the hot water and got only warm water at best. The liquid soap dispenser was empty, so I had to use the bar soap. The bathroom layout was awkward too, and I had to squeeze and bend to get out. I complained twice. The front office said they were waiting for me to come back and follow up, which seemed like a weird response. Why weren’t they proactive? By the time I wrote this, I’d received verbal apologies but no formal apology, even though I was hurt there.

The superior room was clean and comfortable enough, with a great view, and the food was okay. Staff were nice and helpful. My only complaint was waiting for the elevator without an indicator showing where it was. Not knowing its location made the wait feel longer and frustrating.

Breakfast buffet was good. The hotel sits above Poins Mall in the Lebak Bulus area, a strategic spot for South Jakarta, with a skybridge connecting to MRT Lebak Bulus. Ask for a room facing the swimming pool, since the highway side is noisy.
