The whole unit had no water, yet they were still doing business. I’d paid for a private deluxe room but had to use the public shower and toilet, which was a nightmare. The room was in awful condition too, with sheets and a towel so dirty I couldn’t touch them. A terrible first night in Jakarta.

There’s a strong cigarette smell in the lobby, but the bedroom and second-floor bathroom were sparkling clean and didn’t have that smell. They provide drinking water from a dispenser in the hallway, plus coffee and tea in the room. The staff were friendly and helpful. Parking is limited, so let them know ahead of time if you’re coming by car.

The lobby has a strong cigarette smell and lots of mosquitoes. The room itself had no unpleasant smell and was fairly clean. A good budget option for anyone wanting to stay in the Kota Tua area.

The room was dusty, the toilet dirty, and there were mosquitoes everywhere. I booked it before my flight. It’s very close to the main square.

A handy spot for solo travelers, very close to the bus station.
