Hotel Puri Kwitang

The hotel looks nice in pictures, with large rooms and a great location, so it has potential. But my stay was awful, and I won’t be back. The room reeked of cigarette smoke despite being non-smoking. It all seemed to come from the bathroom, and I felt like I’d inhaled a pack’s worth secondhand. The bathroom itself was rancid, with dirty, moldy corners and an unclean toilet. The sheets had marks, so I asked for new ones. The replacements had even more yellow marks, spots, and stains. They’d been laundered, but were still unpleasant. The place is clearly older than the 2025 date on the front door, perhaps the brand just changed then. Everything looks worn, and management doesn’t seem inclined to maintain the facilities well. What a pity. And the wifi is shit. So long, behomy. You aren’t homey, and I won’t return.

The room was quite big, with nice furniture that all felt new, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The price was affordable, and the room had a good ambience. A notable feature is that every room has a bath up. Unfortunately, mine didn’t work properly, so you should check it or tell the receptionist. Apart from that issue, things were really okay.

We were so comfortable sharing laughs and stories with friends because the room was super duper soundproof. The water heater, AC, and TV all worked, and there was even Netflix. I had a super cozy Christmas here and will definitely be back. Good Job Corvel 😍😍🫶

I’d seen YouTube vlogs about Corvel Be Homy in Kwitang before spending a night there, and they made the place look promising. The inscription on the wall says it was established last year in 2025. The transparent elevator is a really cool, iconic feature. The stay didn’t quite match the online hype. There were leftovers from the previous guest in the trash bin and quite a bit of dust under the bed. The hot water was barely lukewarm, the bathroom walls looked neglected, and I had to ask staff for tissues because none were in the room. At a rate under IDR 250k, I get that you get what you pay for. Still, the difference between the vlogs and the actual stay was jarring. It’s a shame the rest of the building feels poorly maintained. It’s disappointing that a place established in 2025 already felt this worn by early 2026.
