Infiniti Hotel

The ceiling was low enough that, at 172 cm, I nearly brushed my head on it. Parking was limited, though luckily there was a space when I arrived. The room was quite clean and the bathroom was in good shape, with both hot and cold water. The TV only had local channels, and the Wi-Fi kept dropping, so I mostly used mobile data.

I don’t understand why this place is rated so highly. I booked through Agoda and told the front desk after check-in that the Wi-Fi in my room wasn’t working properly. They already knew about the issue, but treated it like my problem. When I asked to move, they offered a windowless room that was noisy from the lobby. I then requested a cancellation and was told to contact Agoda. Agoda called the owner, who refused, saying the internet wasn’t working but they wouldn’t cancel. That was just bad behavior. The room itself was very low, around 1.85, and smelled strongly of chemicals. I guess they sometimes switch it from smoking to non-smoking. It was tiny too, basically just a bed. It seems hit or miss, and the owner wasn’t cooperative, so I wouldn’t recommend staying here. I’ve seen plenty of much better hostels.

The staff were friendly and helpful, the price was great value, and there are lots of food places and convenience stores within walking distance. But the room hygiene was a big problem. The bedsheet had lots of white stains, and I didn’t want to guess what they were. Under the bed was filthy, like it hadn’t been cleaned in ages. The toiletries were very limited: no shampoo, shower cap, facial tissues, or large white towel. My room door also had a large gap because it wasn’t cut properly, so noise from people walking through the hall came right in, which happened often.

The hotel and the people were nice, but I could barely breathe in the room. The sheets reeked of detergent, and they’d sprayed some kind of air freshener too. Not a good choice if you’re trying to avoid chemicals.
