There’s nowhere to relax after work because there are no common areas. You’d have to stay in your room, which has no window, and finding a public outdoor space in Jakarta to meet friends can be difficult too. The kitchen mentioned in the description is used by the family living on the first floor. I didn’t feel comfortable cooking there while they watched me. The mattresses are very hard. The only window opens onto the hallway, where there’s almost no air circulation, so clothes might start to smell if you stay more than a few days. The grandmother speaks a little English, but she can say what she wants, like asking for rent, without understanding questions or problems. Monthly rent is 2.5 million for locals and 3.5 million for foreigners. I consider that racist and think places like this should be avoided. I moved out after three nights. If you’re western, this place won’t be convenient for you.

It’s a very basic kos kosan, probably fine if a worker rents by the month, and maybe okay for a backpacker, but not for travel. There’s AC and the bathroom is clean. I hated the mattress on the floor and the lack of a decent blanket with the AC blasting, though I guess that’s what the price gets you.

The owner was very helpful, and the place is close to GI and the thamrin area. The room was clean but rather small, with no window opening to the outside.

A clean, quiet place with a really comfortable bed. Great for backpackers and anyone traveling on a budget. I'd recommend it.

I stayed here for about two months, and I can't recommend it. The owner or the owner's mother went through my belongings without asking. Horrible experience. I'd avoid this place.
