The lounge staff were thoughtful during our five-night stay. Children under 12 aren’t allowed in the Executive Lounge on level 29, so our 9-year-old daughter couldn’t join us there. The staff offered to send any menu item to our room for her instead. My wife and I really appreciate the whole Executive Lounge team’s service, especially Ms Iba, who went out of her way to prepare and serve our daughter her favorite dish, even though it isn’t normally on the lounge menu. The chef at the Sailendra Cafe also specially made sup daging kuning for us, my sister’s favorite, though it wasn’t on that day’s breakfast menu. It made our stay memorable and enjoyable. Congratulations to the Management of JW Marriott for having such dedicated and wonderful staff.

Jan Christopher ( Chris), the duty manager, arranged transportation to our new apartment, which made our move during the stay easier. He also regularly checked on us in the executive lounge to see if all was well and whether we needed anything. Our original suite had a kitchenette and didn’t meet our expectations, so we arranged to move to a newly renovated suite, which was wonderful. The previous guest checked out very late, but Jan Christopher made sure our things were moved as quickly as possible once the new room was ready. The changeover was smooth and stress-free. From the moment we arrived, he was kind and clearly cared about our comfort and happiness. His attention and dedication made a lasting impression on my husband and me. He’s a real asset to the JW Marriott Jakarta.

The pool, gym, and executive lounge were well maintained and added to our stay. Breakfast was delicious, with a big selection of local and international dishes. Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, with great amenities and a relaxing feel. Staff were friendly and professional, and the service was excellent from check-in through check-out. We had a wonderful stay at JW Marriott Hotel Jakarta.

Breakfast was below standard: dishes sat empty for a long time, food was often cold, and staff didn’t seem proactive about replenishing anything. The property also felt worn and dull, and clearly needed significant renovation. Service was disappointing too. I had two separate encounters, one at reception and one in the executive lounge, and both staff members were unfriendly, unhelpful, and came across as rude. That was surprising in a hospitality role. The hotel didn’t live up to its five-star rating or the expectations I had of the brand.

Julio at the front desk made my visit a highlight. He was welcoming and attentive, and his professional, friendly service made everything feel easy and comfortable. I really appreciate his help and hospitality. Highly recommend!
