I picked this hotel because I had an event nearby, but I’d put it at a two-star standard. It feels homely, though quite dated. The sheets had a few stains, and while the water pressure was good, the water didn’t drain well. They didn’t provide toiletries.

This place feels more like a guest house than a hotel, with a kitchen and shared sitting room. The location is good and the room was average, so you can get the general idea. I booked on Agoda, but security stopped me when I arrived and asked about my booking details. It made me feel like an intruder instead of a guest. There was no lobby check-in. A staff member took me straight to a room with a broken TV. When I asked about it, he said he didn’t know, that there were other empty rooms with working TVs, and that I could take it up with the manager because he was only staff. Maybe that’s part of getting a good Agoda price. I’m not making a huge deal of it, just disappointed.

Good value for the price. I paid 250k through Traveloka, and the room was clean, the staff were friendly, and the location was great.

Whenever I’m in Jakarta, I stay here. It’s a peaceful place, right across from the shisha cafe kemang, with MCDONALD'S and other well-known cafes nearby.
