I stayed in the Mars & Venus room and really enjoyed it. Breakfast had loads of tasty choices, and the room was comfortable. The bathroom and the view from the 30th floor were both amazing. 😊 Highly recommend!

The rooms were comfortable enough, but they were placed at opposite ends of the hotel, which made the arrangement inconvenient. I had asked through Traveloka for two connecting Executive King rooms. At check-in, they weren't connecting and had Queen beds instead. The hotel eventually offered one Mars & Venus room and one Manhattan Suite as compensation, which I appreciated, though they were still far apart. I was at Manhattan Hotel Jakarta for four nights. I’m thankful I had the chance to stay, but the experience fell well short of what I expected from a five-star hotel. To me, it felt closer to a three-star property. Food and service in the room were inconsistent. I ordered three times. The first order, Rawon and Chicken Satay, took about an hour and a half. The satay was nicely cooked, but the Rawon wasn't warm enough and the bean sprouts were overcooked. I received roughly a 20% discount for the trouble. On the next order, the sausage selection was good, but the Chicken Satay portion was much smaller and seemed like cheap street food, especially for IDR 80K before tax and service. I ordered that same meal again, and the satay portion was back to normal, but it was burnt and inedible. That lack of consistency points to poor kitchen quality control, which isn't acceptable at a five-star hotel. Breakfast was another letdown. I found black marks on a boiled egg white and worried it might be spoiled or contaminated, perhaps by a rusty knife. When I brought it up, the chef said it was overcooked, which I found hard to believe. Even if that was the cause, it suggested poor kitchen standards and professionalism. There wasn't much variety, food ran out quickly, and I didn't enjoy the taste. I'd rather order room service if the quality control improves. The room service standards themselves also need work. One evening, a glass still had lipstick on it, so it clearly hadn't been cleaned properly. Among the five-star hotels I've stayed at, this was by far the worst. I regret choosing it, and I won't be back.

You can walk out to the mall and explore the local food and culture, though the hotel sits beside a busy road. There are plenty of restaurants and social spots at the hotel, plus a spa for a bit of pampering. The staff and amenities were great. Not a bad place to visit. 🌚

The staff were welcoming, and breakfast was pretty decent. Level 36 had complimentary drinks and a nice rooftop view. Still, the price felt high for what you get. The room was spacious, but the bed wobbled and squeaked, and the furniture looked dated. It may be sold as a five-star hotel, but it didn't feel like one to me. I'd personally stay somewhere more central, near Sarinah or Grand Indonesia.

The breakfast spread was impressive, and I especially liked the Indonesian dishes and masala tea. I enjoyed my stay. The room was clean and well maintained, though some wooden furniture had cracks. The bed sat a little low but was comfortable, and the shower had strong, hot water. The air conditioning cooled the room, though I would've preferred it colder. Free Wi-Fi was very fast and good for gaming. Check-in around 11:30 pm was quick since reception wasn't busy, and getting to the room via the three lifts was easy. The hotel was built in 2006. 20260228.
