MaxOneHotels Premier Melawai

I picked it because it was near the MRT and wasn’t expecting much, but check-in was quick and came with a generous welcome drink and snacks. The room was compact but pleasant, with a key-card lift, safe, little fridge, desk, and tea and coffee. The bathroom’s layout was unusual, the hot water worked fine, and it had the usual amenities. The double bed was two singles pushed together, but that didn’t bother me. Breakfast had a decent buffet with eggs, cereal, bread, local snacks, dessert, and fruit. Pretty impressive for the room rate. I’m glad I stayed here.

Getting in and out was quick, and everyone on staff was friendly and helpful. The street noise did come through the walls, though. I’m used to living by a road, so it didn’t bother me, but it could be uncomfortable if you’re used to somewhere quiet. My King Standard room was clean and comfortable, if not especially large. It had a small fridge, strong Wi-Fi, an air conditioner I could adjust myself, and a refillable water jug with a dispenser in the hallway. The queen bed was clean and had four big, soft pillows. The bathroom was medium-sized, very clean, and stocked with amenities and a hair dryer. There was even a shower seat fixed to the wall. The hotel is on Jl. Melawai, close to the Blok M food area in South Jakarta, and the MRT station is about 10m away. We’d come back for another staycation. Thank you.

After a week here, we were happy with MaxOne Melawai and would return. The spa was a real plus after long days getting around Jakarta, and the masseuses were skilled. The front desk team and doorman were especially attentive, around the clock. It’s well placed for reaching lots of spots in the city. Motorbikes made some noise at night, but that’s normal in Jakarta and we got used to it quickly.

Nice hotel with really good, simple facilities. The street outside is extremely busy, though, and rooms facing it stay noisy even at night. That’s the one downside for me.
