Minimalist Furnished 1BR Apartment at Casa Grande Residence

I booked a room at Casa Grande Residence on Booking.com for five nights. Top House agency managed it. When I arrived around 3pm, the room wasn't ready. The agent was pleasant, offered me a drink, and let me wait with him at the office. Once I got into the room, though, the furniture looked old and heavily worn. The kitchen had an old rag for drying dishes. There was a washing machine but no detergent, unlike other places I've stayed with a machine. They also didn't provide extra toilet paper or pool towels. For a short-term rental, I expected those things because other places provide them, especially somewhere that looks like this from outside. The building looks luxurious, but my room was poorly maintained. There was a huge black mold stain on the bathroom ceiling that looked like it had been there a while. I told the agent on the first day because mold is bad for our health. He said he'd handle it, but nothing changed during my five-night stay. I felt disgusted every time I showered. It's a shame the property gets so little attention.

We booked through Airbnb for New Year 2022 and had the most disrespectful front man and security staff I've ever encountered. When we arrived with our luggage, Pak Andie told me to get the trolley myself. I did, but when we reached the lift he was standing there and didn't bother helping. The trolley was old and wobbly, so it was hard to push. We asked to speak with his superiors, and Bapak PRASOJO was even worse. He said it was CASA GRANDE's policy. Policy for what, not helping guests? I've stayed in five-star apartments and hotels, and this was the worst experience I've had. He didn't apologize and raised his voice at us. I'll complain to management, though I think it'll be useless if they employ people who behave like this. Be warned!

I always enjoy staying in this Jakarta apartment. The Silver Bird Mercedes cab from Blue Bird deserves a mention too.
