The room is spacious and it feels homey, with a swimming pool that nobody ever seems to use. Plenty of people may consider it good value for the area. The gate is always locked, so you have to ring the bell each time. It's the same owner's house as Chicmart Kemang, which explains all the antique furniture. Some pieces look unfinished or broken. Maybe that's part of the art, I'm not sure. You can rent by the month, but electricity isn't included. You can't buy it through PLN, and the contract says you'll be charged 2k/watts, which is insane. With one AC on and normal use, the bill would be almost 2 Million at the end of the month, so include that in your budget. The spring bed is very low quality, and the springs poke into your skin. My back hurt in the morning.

For New Year's Eve, I offered my wife a staycation, on two conditions: under IDR 200K and with a swimming pool. This place came up below IDR 200K after using a promo code, and it had a pool. East kemang was also close enough to our place. The stay was nothing like I'd expected because heavy rain covered all of Jakarta, including kemang. Most of the occupants were stuck inside all night. I went out twice in the downpour to buy snacks and my child's ultra mimi, which had to be strawberry flavor. We didn't get much enjoyment from the stay, but luckily we were only there one night. We never got to use the pool. Right before check-out the rain stopped, though drizzle remained; we got our deposit back and went to pejaten village before heading home. I also forgot to mention that PLN cut the power right before checkout.

The room was cozy, and the place felt clean and homey. I liked it and will definitely come back to Jakarta to meet my clients as a tarot reader.
