Kerry was really helpful with recommendations, and the central Jakarta location made it easy to explore nearby attractions. The staff were friendly, and the food was fantastic. I'd happily come back. At breakfast, my little girl asked for a waffle after they'd run out. A staff member kindly made one with churros dough instead, and it turned out great. We asked for it again the next day, and Novi from the kitchen put a lot of effort into making it for us. It was crispy outside and soft inside, with none of the oily taste you can get from fried churros.

Customer service was decent, and the staff smiled and helped us. But the air conditioner and water heater didn't work. We were moved to another room, yet a lot of our things were left behind in the first one, including a closet still full of our clothes. The hotel needs upgrades to its facilities and service quality.

We had to switch rooms because the air conditioner wasn't working. Ms Eileen from the front office was very kind and helpful, and personally showed us two rooms to choose from. The AC in the second room was much better, but still not cold enough. I suggest Accor group inspect the hotel and oversee refurbishment.

The room lighting was dim, and some of the lights didn't work. The bathroom sink was blocked, though I think staff noticed while cleaning the next day and cleared it. Breakfast choices were limited too. I'd stayed at Holiday Inn a few hundred meters down the road, and it was much better. Sorry, Novotel, but you need to improve.

The hotel had a lovely atmosphere, and I stayed in room 1005. Candranaya was a great heritage building. My room was clean, cozy, and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. Thanks to Tiara. I'll be back!
