Park Hyatt Jakarta Hotel

The restaurant’s 360-degree view from above Jakarta is a real treat while you eat. We could even spot which areas were rainy and which were sunny. The hotel itself feels spacious, premium, and very well cared for, with friendly, attentive staff whether you’re staying there or just coming in to dine. I’d been away from hotel buffets for a while and tried the one at Park Hyatt Jakarta. I went in with high expectations because it’s called a “6-star hotel,” and the experience met them. Around 85% of the dishes were really good, with premium options like lobster, Peking duck, jellyfish, and different pork dishes. The quality and taste felt above average for hotel buffets. The sushi counter was impressive, and you can ask for salmon only. They serve generous portions, unlike many other hotels, even five-star ones, that can be stingy with it. The stations were well kept and refilled quickly. Desserts were another strong point: lots of cakes and pastries, and one of the best hotel buffet dessert selections I’ve tried, with more hits than misses. Even the ice cream was good instead of overly sweet and forgettable, and the Chinese sweet soup hong tang was comforting and delicious. If I’d had more room, I’d have kept eating 😄 For the price, I think the food, service, overall experience, and view make this buffet worth it. I’ll be back.

The hotel feels elegant without being fussy, and the staff are courteous. Check-in was flawless, with a welcome drink and a very tasty local snack. My room was clean, quiet, and well sealed against Jakarta’s humidity. I especially enjoyed the bidet. After we got back from the gym in the evening, the room had already been cleaned and restocked. The night service was amazing, and the duty manager sent ginger drink and a local snack to the room as a lovely touch to close out the evening. The pool, bar, and rooftop access all have great views of Jakarta. The bar has a good selection and generous appetizer portions. It’s in a great location, with places to eat nearby and spots you can walk to. I highly recommend it. Thank you for the excellent service and lovely stay!

We had a nice experience. The restaurant was on the 22nd floor, so the nighttime view was lovely, and the atmosphere was good. Staff were hospitable. There was a decent range of seafood and meat, mostly Western style, plus an ice cream station and lots of kinds of cookies for dessert.

We stayed for four nights and were even upgraded, which we’re very thankful for. The view was astounding, and we could happily sit by the window all day without going out. Breakfast was spectacular, and service was impeccable. Every staff member was friendly and helpful. Our son was only four months old, so we’ll come back when he’s older and can experience the hotel too.
