We had a spectacular corner room view, especially after dark, and there are good facilities in the room. You can also head to the top of the building for a look at the surrounding area. The location worked really well for our three days in Jakarta, beside Thamrin Mall and a five-minute drive from Tanah Abang Mall.
I've stayed here through Airbnb several times. It's a bit of a distance from Grand Indonesia.
The guards are nice, but the entrance could use some attention.
The nearby railway crossing keeps setting off a police siren, and the area is terrible for walking or finding green space. I stayed for a while in the adjacent apartment, which was just so-so. The staff were friendly and the gym was okay. Lots of mall stalls are shuttered, as is happening at malls around the world. If you're after thousands of fabrics at local prices, though, this place gets five stars.
The place is fairly comfortable, better than the other well-known trade center nearby, and the prices are better too. It is part of Thamrin city, a center for clothes, fashion, batik, crafts, and more, with prices suited to mid- and lower-income shoppers. Parking fills up as soon as the stores open.
