Rasuna Mansion

There’s a pantry on every floor and a refrigerator in each room. It’s a pleasant place to stay, and I’ll definitely book here again if I visit Jakarta 🌟 (Pic is when we ordered nasi padang while staying in Rasuna Mansion, lol)

The hotel is older, with non-modern rooms, and seems more suited to locals than tourists. The main upside is that the rooms are fairly large, there’s ample gated parking, and it’s close to shopping. The price is relatively low, but doesn’t quite match the room quality. The bathroom is somewhat unappealing, and the elevator doesn’t go to the top floor, so you have to use stairs for the last level.

The room is good, but the TV only connects to a guest’s personal Netflix account. Screen sharing with the remote works from a PC, not a mobile, and there are no local, satellite, or cable TV channels. I’m wary of logging into Netflix on the hotel TV after strangers used my account when I’d used it there, even though the account had been logged off. I don’t want to risk it again.

I really liked the Gazebo on the top floor, a nice spot to relax and watch the sunset. The bed was very comfortable, breakfast buffet tasty with a different menu each day, and the small gym was adequate. Given the room rate, we weren’t expecting much more. Considering the rate, staff, and location, this is one of the best hotel stays I’ve had. It was a pleasant stay, and I’ll come back in the future.
