RedDoorz near Sarinah Mall

The location is down an alley, and the motorcycle parking area only seemed big enough for about 4-5 bikes. Our towels weren’t ready until 6pm, and the AC didn’t work. The place was fully booked, so we couldn’t switch rooms. Unless you’re in a rush or have an urgent need to stay here, I’d spend another 100k and look for a different budget hotel.

I couldn’t sleep under the blankets because they made me itch so badly, and I found all kinds of insects in the hotel. It was the dirtiest place I’ve ever seen. The staff were awful and wouldn’t cooperate at all. I hope I don’t run into people like that in Indonesia again.

There are several street food vendors nearby, and the national monument isn’t far away. The room is a decent size for a few nights if all you need is a place to sleep, and it’s cheap. But the sheets were dirty, the bathroom was gross, and the bin hadn’t been emptied. There was no toilet roll, though they do say that in the listing. For about £17 for two nights, it did the job, but if you want somewhere cleaner, pay a little more. We can’t really complain at that price.

People were smoking and talking loudly through the night, and you could hear other guests, even their bathroom sounds. The room itself was disgusting: dirty sheets with what looked like human body fluids, a filthy drain with hair and what looked like mucus, and a toilet brush in pieces. The toilet seat and lid looked normal but weren’t attached. I slept on my prayer mat and even kept my shoes on in the shower. At check-in, the person at the counter kept insisting the price was two and a half times what I’d seen online, which sadly seems normal here. I’ve never had a hotel experience like this. Don’t come here.
