RedDoorz Plus near Monumen Nasional Jakarta

The staff were very friendly and spoke English well. The location was convenient for both the bus and train stations, and the atmosphere was fairly quiet. The rooms felt airy and the beds were comfortable. Overall, it was good and I'd recommend it, though the washrooms could use some updating and cleaning.

The room was labeled non-smoking, but the cigarette smell and visible smoke made it clear that it had been smoked in before. The residue was heavy on the walls, furniture, and air conditioner filter. I opened the window and ran the fan at full speed, but I still felt suffocated and couldn't sleep. I had to move to another hotel at noon. If I could give a minus rating, it would be -4. A horrible experience.

Our room was fairly spacious, and the window looked out toward Monas. The hotel is old, but it looked decent, with wooden ethnic-style furniture and green trees around it. The location was convenient: Gondangdia station is within walking distance, and Gambir station was under five minutes away by Grab. Ask for a high-floor room facing Monas. During our stay, though, the WiFi didn't work, and the AC kept switching itself off about every five minutes and never got cold. We only received RedDoorz toiletries and a box of tissues on the second day.

The mattress was really comfortable, and the room was affordable with its own bathroom.
