The islands nearby are lovely, though you have to overlook rubbish everywhere. This place is more like a basic hostel. For a small island, it’s quite good, and the owner is nice and helpful. He’ll even arrange beer if you ask. There’s a mosque close by, so it can get a bit loud, and the shower is cold.

The view outside is beautiful, and the food is good, but it takes a long time to arrive, which can be a problem. The toilet hygiene needs improvement, and there were insects in the room, so be careful.

The food was decent and reasonably priced, and they serve the best western food on the island. The staff were really good, spoke decent English, and helped us arrange snorkelling and diving without taking any referral commission.

There's no beach on the island, but you can take a speedboat from Marina Ancol at 8am for 125.000 IDR one way. Snorkeling trips are available for around 400.000 IDR. The accommodation itself is really nice, with friendly, helpful people, good food, and a clean room with a western toilet and a good bed. It's a lovely place on a little island.
