The room was spacious, with a big fridge, and I enjoyed my one-night stay. There was hot and cold drinking water, plus tea and coffee, and the Wi-Fi was fast enough. Staff were pleasant, and the price was good for what you get. One thing: Agoda listed bottled water, but there wasn't any in the room, and I got one towel instead of two. I'd most likely stay here again when I'm back in Jakarta.
After a seven-hour train ride from Semarang to Jakarta, I reached reception at 11:15 and asked to check in. One of the two girls there said a room was ready, but the other insisted I had to wait until the 13:00 check-in time anyway. The hospitality was poor. I'll never come back.
For a budget hotel, the amenities were more than enough. My room was clean and, more importantly, cleaned every day. I just couldn't tell whether the sheets were being changed daily.
Good value for the money. The building has one upper floor, three floors, and a rooftop on the fourth floor. My room was very clean, Wi-Fi was good, and there was hot water and AC. Getting to the main Setia Budi offices was easy.
If you're on a tight budget, the location is useful, with lots of food stalls nearby. Alfamart is only 50m away.
