Teras Langit was a lovely place to slow down and enjoy Jakarta’s lights, and the food there was delicious. Mas Hasan from the F&B team deserves a special thank you for making meals at both the 2nd floor restaurant and Teras Langit memorable. We spent 3 days and 2 nights at Arthama Hotel Jakarta, and the stay left me wanting to come back. The room was roomy and comfortable, breakfast had plenty of tasty choices, and everyone on staff was warm and welcoming. The location worked well too: Tanah Abang Market is a 5-10 minute walk, Sarinah takes 10-15 minutes on foot, and Monas is about 15-30 minutes away for a jog. Getting around by vehicle is quicker, of course. Thanks to the whole team, from security and Front Office to F&B service and production and the staff working behind the scenes. The hospitality made the stay really enjoyable. I’ll be back soon.

On our last day, after the room had been cleaned, we found that a box of perfumes was missing. We’d travelled a long way to collect a perfume order from Bandung, so this was a frightening and deeply disappointing end to the trip. I travel often and have never had belongings go missing from a hotel before. This makes me seriously concerned about the hotel’s security. Please be cautious if you plan to stay here. I won’t return.

A great spot if you’re keeping to a budget and coming to Jakarta to shop at Tanah Abang, Thamrin City, or Sarinah. There are plenty of places to eat nearby, and you can walk to almost everything. Highly recommend it.

The room and location were quite good, but I wasn’t happy with how the cleaning request was handled. I asked the receptionist for makeup room at 10.30 am, then came back at 15.00 to find it still hadn’t been cleaned. They said the hotel was very busy and rooms were cleaned in turn. That felt like a poor excuse after I’d been waiting around four hours.
