Lots of old houses, and they’re dirty.

I didn’t stay long, and checked out that same day because the room was uncomfortable. I had no key, so I couldn’t leave my things behind when I went out. The door just slid in like that. I also asked to move rooms because the mattress had a bed cover patched on top, maybe because it was sagging, but I still wasn’t happy with the replacement. At first I thought the place looked neat and clean. The rate on Traveloka seemed pretty good for a room with AC and an en-suite bathroom, and the reception looked “not bad” from the front. But the room itself was a bad experience: dirty, messy, and damp, with a wardrobe that looked like it was collapsing. I’m not trying to badmouth anyone, this is just what I experienced.

The AC was fairly cold, but everything else was bad. The room was full of mosquitoes, the floor was wet and hadn’t been mopped, and the cleanliness of the room, bathroom, and mattress was especially poor. 👎

Is that really the price? Do I need to pay a deposit?
