The staff gave very good service, and the location is very good. The hotel is highly occupied and almost fully booked every day, but the management is missing the mark. Maybe they don’t care for the room facilities because occupancy is so high. The room was a bit dirty and smelled, with mosquitoes; the bed had sagged so I couldn’t sleep well. Wi-Fi was hard to connect to, and the AC needs more maintenance because it wasn’t cold.

Apart from the location, there’s nothing good here. The room was dirty, with no shampoo or soap, and no toilet paper unless you ask for it. The TV didn’t work, there was no hot water, and the Wi-Fi never worked. Lots of tiny cockroaches were in the room and bathroom, even crawling on me 😭. There were also lots of mosquitoes in the lobby. Run away!

After just one night, we both started feeling sick. I developed a cough and my husband had trouble breathing. The air in the room was awful: the window wouldn’t open, and the AC barely worked, blowing air that smelled of mold and mildew. I see this as a serious health risk, not just discomfort. The place didn’t look like the photos on Agoda.com at all. I wouldn’t trust the edited pictures or the 8+ rating. Our room was very old and dirty, with damaged walls, ceiling, and furniture. The sheets were greyish instead of white and weren’t clean, the bin was rusty and dirty, and there were dead cockroaches on the wall and live ones in the bathroom. The bathroom had old tiles, moldy walls, and a constant bad smell. The hallways smelled awful too. We were assigned a non-smoking room, but when we arrived at 3 a.m. it reeked of cigarettes. Staff offered to show us other rooms, but they were all damp, smelly, and moldy, and the old furniture everywhere had a strong unpleasant odor. Even the elevator felt unsafe: its doors closed so fast that we nearly got stuck halfway through. Please don’t stay here. This place is dangerous for your health and shouldn’t be listed as a 3-star or even a 2-star property.

For USD 12 a night, it’s pretty much worth the price, though the interior is worn out. The building is old, probably from the 1980s, with two small elevators and a pool on the second floor, plus a seating area for smoking. The room is about 4m x 5m, with a small desk and chair for laptop work, a reading chair, a little table, and plenty of wardrobe space. There’s no refrigerator, electric pot for tea or coffee, or room sandals. The bathroom has a shower and hot water, though it isn’t very hot. The hotel sits on the artery connecting East and Central Jakarta. Parking fits only four cars. There’s a minimarket a two-minute walk away and a small warung selling cheap food and drinks next door. Check-in requires a cash deposit. In the lobby, a small cafe sells affordable meals and coffee, and a vending machine has cold drinks.
