The location is central and great for walking to Museum Nasional and the main highlights. There are loads of good local places to eat nearby, the bed was comfortable, and the staff were lovely and friendly. The room, though, was really dirty. We'd seen promising reviews and knew it was a budget hotel, so we took a chance. At first, despite peeling paint and worn woodwork, the room seemed alright. Then my partner spotted dangerous black mold around the AC and on the ceiling above the sink, which really shocked us. The bathroom hadn't been cleaned either. There was urine on the toilet seat and hair on the floor. The closet ceiling was open, with wires and bricks visible, and the closet floor was dirty and broken, so we couldn't hang any clothes there. The mirror looked like it came straight out of the movie Saw, the bathroom and sink metal was rusty, and the bathroom door wouldn't close. It was taped together, as shown in the picture. We didn't expect anything fancy at this price, but we've slept in hostels at the same price point and they've always been clean. I'd pay more for somewhere nicer, or give up privacy and a private bathroom for a clean, safe shared dorm or a private room with a shared bathroom. The staff were sweet and the bed was comfy, which is the only reason for two stars. The room is really gross and so worn it should be remodeled.

It's a quieter spot in a nicer part of Jakarta, clean outside with parking out front and not too much traffic noise. Reception was clean, professional, and kind. The room is laid out thoughtfully, so the toilet and AC don't face the bed, and the bed and sheets are clean. The bathroom is acceptable. The paint and woodwork need replacing, and the water damage above the wash basin is unpleasant. There isn't much food around the area. For a tight budget, I think it's okay for a night or two. If you want to feel like you're in the jungle, go for it. But if you're human, I wouldn't recommend this hotel. No way this location gets 5 stars from me. There are plenty of other hotels in more strategic spots that actually feel made for humans.

The location is convenient if you want to visit MONAS, and it's fairly close to the shopping area with Plaza Indonesia, Grand Indonesia, and the others. Staff were friendly and polite, and tried to help us, as described below. We paid just $15 SGD for one night, which is very cheap. The rooms were still terrible and poorly maintained for the price. The door handle was loose, tap handles were broken, the toilet wouldn't flush, so we had to refill it ourselves, and the air-con wasn't very cold. There were also tons of mosquitoes around the premises. Staff let us choose from four rooms, but every one had problems. Our first had a flooded toilet. In the end, we picked the one with the fewest issues, lol. Only for travellers on an extremely limited budget.

The place was nicer and cleaner than I expected, and the staff were humble and friendly. I came with friends, and they all said they really enjoyed using the room. Sorry I didn't take any pictures, but it was clean, and that's what matters. You can take my promise~.
