The Mayflower, Jakarta - Marriott Executive Apartments

We loved how convenient the location was, with Setiabudi Astra MRT station about a 100 m walk away and easy access to Bundaran HI and SCBD. The staff were all very friendly, and we were very satisfied with our stay. We spent one night as a family in a three-bedroom apartment. The Sudirman Street view was lovely, and the place impressed me as soon as we came in. There was a shoe rack behind the entrance, then a dining space and kitchen, plus a living room with a sofa and TV. The main bedroom had an ensuite bathroom with a shower and bathtub, a walk-in closet, and a desk. The other two bedrooms had TVs and wardrobes, with their bathroom outside. We tried the pool, with 0.5 m and 1.2 m depths, the spa pool, and the sauna. Towels and lockers were provided. There was a gym too, though we didn't use it.

The road-facing windows clearly aren't soundproof. I was on the 29th floor and traffic noise kept me awake all night. That was especially frustrating at a property presented as premium, and the listing's claim of “soundproof rooms” feels highly misleading and should be removed. For a Marriott Bonvoy property, this was a real letdown. They offered a room move, but only after my children had fallen asleep, so that wasn't a realistic fix. If you stay here, make sure you don't get a room facing the main road. A very frustrating experience.

The breakfast room felt small and the choices were limited. I also heard some street noise even from a high floor, and the shower took a while to heat up. Still, we enjoyed our one-night stay. The location was very strategic, and our room was spacious and clean, with great city views, two toilets, a bathtub, and a fully equipped kitchen. Wi-Fi was fast, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Good value for money, and we'd gladly come back.

The replacement room was a renovated one-bedroom apartment with double-glazed windows, which left me wondering why it wasn't offered first. The initial two-room apartment, described as an upgrade, was old, dirty, and very noisy from traffic. Its washing machine broke too. Bonvoy Platinum got me no breakfast and no status nights. When I asked to change rooms the next day, I was promised immediate help, but nobody came, so I moved all my things myself. A horrendous stay.
