The worst part was what happened in the early morning. At around 5:00 a.m. on Sunday, January 19, 2025, a colleague's locked motorcycle disappeared from the TOS Guest House parking lot. They advertise parking and CCTV, so we expected security to be TOS Guest House's responsibility. Instead, there was one night guard from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m. also handling reception, parking, and other duties. When someone came to check in, the guard focused on reception, and the motorcycle went missing. There was nobody assigned specifically to watch the parking area. We were told this wasn't the first loss at TOS, though it happened at a different branch, and ours was reportedly the only case to get compensation. We had to keep going to the police station to file a report and ask TOS for CCTV footage. They didn't provide it until two days later, on Monday. After two days of intense discussions, the owner still wouldn't offer compensation. The manager gave us only 2 million rupiah. This whole situation drained us physically, emotionally, and in time. The manager didn't arrive until 4 p.m., even though the motorcycle was gone at dawn. Were we supposed to wait 11 hours for anyone to act? They told us to be patient and wait, instead of accompanying us to the police. There were also problems before and during check-in. Before arrival, TOS said the price paid through the app didn't match its price. I'd received a lower price with discounts, but as a customer I couldn't tell whether they came from the hotel or the app, or what arrangement TOS had with the app. Was the low price the customer's fault? At check-in, the receptionist didn't know about the reservation because the app owner and receptionist were different people. That miscommunication meant some rooms didn't match our booking. For those first two issues, tiket.com's customer service helped quickly and resolved the complaint. Management was very poor. If they knew there had been losses, why didn't they change the SOP? Why was one person still expected to guard vehicles without anyone assigned to the parking lot? TOS GUEST HOUSE sits right beside the road, with a short fence and no fiber optic cable, so the parked vehicles can be seen from a distance. Don't stay at TOS GUEST HOUSE!

Apparently this is OYO Rupa Velodrome Inn, maybe under a changed name. The photos are the same. I was disappointed, and if I'd seen how poor the reviews were, I wouldn't have checked in. Looking through the OYO Rupa Velodrome reviews afterward, they were bad, and the complaints all seemed factual. They'd be better off improving how the accommodation is managed instead of changing the name or having duplicate names on Google.

I booked the place in December 2024, when there weren't many negative reviews. As my stay got closer, I saw a lot more bad feedback and started having doubts. The app wouldn't refund me, so in the end I stayed with a friend instead of risking an uncomfortable stay. I was in Jakarta for quite a while anyway.

The service and management were terrible. When my friend's motorbike went missing, there was no security, and anyone who showed up did so only after the incident was over. They wouldn't let us check the CCTV either. What a disappointment. I really don't recommend this place, just find somewhere else.
