Urbanest Inn House Slipi

At night the hotel was quiet and peaceful, but it got very noisy during the day. The garden view wasn’t much of a view either, just laundry drying and a bit of roof. The room was fun and clean, though it didn’t work well for someone tall like me. Breakfast was delivered to the room, with no choice, just a basic take-it-or-leave-it meal. Housekeeping were friendly and helpful, and security gave better service than reception. The receptionists were chatting and watching a movie on a phone, and didn’t take time to explain breakfast, WiFi, or the other facilities.

For the price, this was a great deal. I booked a Deluxe room with a garden view, and there really was a small garden to look at. The design throughout was lovely and clean, and the bed is up above the room with stairs leading to it. I could use the space underneath those stairs for my luggage. The AC, TV, and WiFi all worked well. I also really liked the bathroom setup: you can close off the whole bathroom or just the shower. They had a playground and geese in the garden, too. The toiletries were thoughtful, with liquid soap and shampoo, and the thick, dark towel looked fancy. The street is kind of small, and a nearby place has a loud speaker that woke me up in the morning. Aside from that, I had a great visit.

The breakfast included with our room was awful, like leftover food. We stayed three days, and I won’t ever come back. The room was dirty when we got in. The floor looked like it hadn’t been cleaned, the bed was covered in hair as if the sheets hadn’t been changed, and the pillow smelled terrible. The hygiene and the workers’ effort were both disappointing. The elevator wasn’t working when we checked in, so we had to take two big suitcases up the stairs to the third floor. I complained to management and tried to get a refund, but couldn’t. They offered to move us to another room, but it was pretty much the same.

Two days didn’t feel like enough, and I’m looking forward to coming back to stay. It’s a budget hotel with a pool, lots of Instagrammable spots, and some animals, so there are plenty of ways to unwind. I especially liked that chairs and tables are spread around in different areas, so you can pick a place to sit and enjoy yourself.
