Urbanview Hotel Mitra near Grand Indonesia

I stayed here twice, for 6 nights total, and I do have some regrets. The two good things were the location and Wi-Fi. There are lots of street food vendors nearby, and a short walk brings you to plenty more. The Wi-Fi was way better than 100% of the coffee shops I went to in jakarda. Everything else, no. Smoking is allowed freely in the hotel, so expect cigarette smells in the room. People can smoke in the hallway at any time, and the smoke gets into your room. During my stay a family let their kids run around making noise in the hallway for days, while the father sat there smoking and watching videos on his tablet. If noise doesn't disturb anyone, fine, but this was a lot. I woke up several times during naps because someone decided to smoke in the hall. Because of the smoking, I'd never recommend this hotel. The towels aren't regular sized. They gave me small ones, maybe 1.5ftx2.4ft, just enough to wrap around one thigh. The room I had had zero available power outlets. I could only plug in by pulling out the TV cord. The tap water was almost nonexistent too. Only some very hot water ran, while the cold water ran out and never came back. Be prepared to have no usable water when you get back unless you can shower in literal hot water. The water pressure was awful too. Hope that helps!

There were no basics in the room to start with, like towels or toilet roll. The flush didn't work, the bidet was dripping, and there was no hot water. The room was dirty, the floor mat filthy, and the walls stained. It smelled of cigarette smoke, the light switches didn't even work, and people were incredibly loud at 5 am. Nothing like the pictures. We would've moved if we could, but I got sick during the night and had to stay. Looking back, we should've demanded a refund. Don't waste your time or money here. There are plenty of places in nicer locations, like block M. It was a bad experience.

A comfortable stay, with clean rooms and a great location. Highly recommended 😍
