Whiz Hotel Cikini Jakarta

The reception and security staff were lovely, and housekeeping was great about bringing fresh towels and emptying the bins when asked. They also left instant coffee and water each day. The room had decent space, with the toilet separate from the shower. The bed felt a bit firm to me, though I slept okay. The shower tiles, sink and windows could use a thorough scrub. Noise is the big problem. We got out of the taxi to find people gathered around the hotel and music blaring. There's a super club right next door that stays open until 3am every day, with the music, traffic and people all audible. The soundproofing isn't good, so bring earplugs. I wouldn't have booked here if I'd known.

The room was a comfortable size for a queen bed, and housekeeping was quick and did a good job. Staff were all friendly and could speak English, which helped since I only know a little Indonesian. There are some nice cafés across the street and nearby. It's not far from the central area, so getting a Grab for rides or food delivery was easy.

Dear Whiz management, I've stayed at your hotel three times over the past 12 months, which says a lot about how satisfied I've been with the welcome, food, drinks and staff. I especially appreciate Mr. Aksan from the cleaning team. He's caring and friendly, and still very professional.

The food was really tasty and nicely prepared. I had the special nasi goreng, plus a cappuccino and orange juice, and the coffee was good too. The room was clean and tidy, and the location has plenty of restaurants and places to eat and see. Staff were very helpful. I'd definitely come back.
