Wisma Lux Barkah by OYO Rooms

The spring bed felt good at first, but the metal springs ended up hurting my back. The AC also felt less cool than the fan. I couldn't find a trash can in the room, which left me wondering what housekeeping was there for. The white sheets looked dirty despite the room's written “no stains” rule, and they had little holes that looked like cigarette ash damage from a previous guest. Even when the bathroom sink leaked across the floor, the towels I got were already dirty and worn, almost like doormats. I'd suggest reviewing the service.

I regret choosing this hotel. At check-in, the receptionist was rude, unfriendly, and didn't smile. We checked in together but were given only one towel, and there weren't any towels or other items available when we arrived. The AC wasn't cold enough, and the TV couldn't be connected to YouTube. They don't provide mineral water either. Hotels at around 200,000 Rupiah, such as Salemba Indah Hotel and My Hotel, are friendlier and have receptionists in uniform. As a member of the Indonesian Hotel and Restaurant Association (PHRI), I'm embarrassed that this 2-star hotel charges 200,000 Rupiah when I think it should cost 100,000 Rupiah. I'll take the matter up with the tourism department and the owner.

The toilet had a rusty, moss-covered floor, and its door wouldn't lock. The room itself was dirty and smelled musty.
