Wow! Hotel

The retro design is nice, and my room was clean and a comfortable size. The hot water, air conditioning and TV all worked properly. It would’ve been better with a closet and a proper table, but the service was good. Thank you.

The price is super, super cheap, and the staff were really helpful and nice. My room on the third floor was spacious, clean and well stocked, with a coffee corner on that floor. It’s near Mangga Dua street, a hidden gem in Mangga Dua and a good choice when visiting Jakarta!

I regret booking this hotel. The rooms had no soundproofing, so I could hear everything outside. The sheets were stained and didn’t look fresh, and the rooms smelled strongly of cigarettes. I had booked a non-smoking room, but a man was smoking in the corridor right outside my door on the first floor. They moved me three times, but every room still smelled of smoke. None of the staff spoke English. There was no elevator, and the stairs were very inconvenient. My room had no shampoo, fridge, kettle, ceramic mug, hairdryer, wardrobe or hanger. Thank goodness I only needed two nights in Jakarta. I’ve visited many times, and this was the worst accommodation I’ve ever rented in the city.

It’s clean and affordable, and the water is hot, if you can put up with the noise. The neighboring disco or nightclub blasts techno that pounds your head from about 10 pm until 1 am.
