The bed was comfortable, and the outside facilities were nice. The queen room I booked on agoda was listed as 26 sq foot, but the room I got, number 2709, was barely 20 square feet. There were just two bath towels, both worn out, and the TV was old.

The breakfast staff and lobby check-in team were hospitable, polite, and friendly, though most spoke English poorly. The buffet itself was disappointing for a Westerner, with few choices and cheap, low-quality bread. The only black tea came from a large coffee-style decanter, which isn't suitable for hot tea, and staff couldn't identify the type. Tea should be made with fresh boiling water. I asked for English Breakfast or similar and was told it wasn't available. The next day, I was told it was available a la carte for an extra charge. I don't think tea like that should cost extra with the buffet. Most mornings the buffet area was packed, noisy, hot, and poorly ventilated. On two separate mornings, fumes from the heaters beneath the food containers spread through the seating area and made me slightly nauseous. I booked four nights through Agoda for Sep 2025. Google Maps calls this an "Upscale 4-star hotel," but I found it more like a run-down 2-star place. My first room had a very noisy a/c, and the next-door guests were having a birthday party. After I called the lobby, a staff member brought a key card for another room. It was quieter, but in awful condition: the wardrobe doors were broken, the bathroom sink tap leaned noticeably, the sink plug didn't work, and the lighting was poor. The sink counter also stuck out over the toilet and got in the way. The room was tiny, the wallpaper was shabby, dirty, stained, and peeling in places, and the thin walls let me hear people in nearby rooms. The building's design felt weird and peculiar, and the corridor from the elevator looked shabby and run-down. I considered leaving and finding somewhere else, even though I'd already paid for four nights, but I was tired and hungry, so reluctantly stayed. To sum it up, I thought the hotel was a dump. I wouldn't return.

The gym is nice, though small, and breakfast is good but gets crowded. It's a good hotel in a good location.

There are nice views from the higher floors, and the hotel has a pool. Kay's in house cafe, owned by Yuan Garden, serves clean food along with good juices and coffee. The hotel is good value, though the elevators can be slow sometimes.
