ZEN Rooms Basic Pegangsaan Kelapa Gading

It’s easy to find, and the location near Kelapa Gading is handy if you’re visiting North Jakarta. The hotel service was pretty good and they responded quickly. I’ve stayed more than once, and room cleanliness has been an 8 for me. Sometimes the room is clean, but on another visit it wasn’t.

I wouldn’t recommend staying here if you want a comfortable, enjoyable visit. The rooms felt cramped and makeshift, like they’d been put together in a hurry. There were only local TV channels, and the restaurant was closed while I was there, so I had to go out to get dinner.

The price wasn’t bad, but the service was poor. The two girls at the front desk kept playing games on their phones, even while helping customers. I had to call to ask for clean sheets because the bed sheets, mirror, and sink were dirty. Staff came to inspect, took the dirty sheet, and then left me waiting a long time. I had to call again to remind them to bring my bed sheets back. Room service eventually asked me to move. The other room was dirty too, with dirty sheets and a pillow, and crumbs of food on the phone counter.

The room was clean and the facilities were quite okay. I was there for a business trip, so I didn’t get to enjoy much on my first night. The second day was a bother, though. It seemed the staff hadn’t been properly trained in how to handle customers in a hospitality business. The price really deserved better. Still, good job anyway :)
