I’d paid in advance for one night at this Jatiluwih homestay, but when I arrived around 7-8 pm, the property was locked and nobody was there. I’d travelled alone from Ubud for 1.5 hours, and the contact number wouldn’t connect. I ended up waiting 2-3 hours in an unfamiliar place, but still no one came. If they weren’t going to host me, they should have messaged earlier. Completely unprofessional.

I only stayed two nights, but Deni and her family made me feel like I belonged there. She’d chat with me, show me around, offer Balinese cake, and even cook late at night. Her hospitality was incredible. The room was clean, the bed comfy, and both nights were peaceful. The bathroom was simple and shared with the other guests. There’s self-service coffee in the morning, and the Jatiluwih rice fields are an easy walk away. Everything about the stay was lovely. I’d happily recommend Anish homestay!!!

Staying at Anish homestay was one of my favorite experiences in Bali. Deni is wonderful, and even though she’s busy, she makes time to eat with guests and explain the area. She’s a great cook, too. The homestay sits among the rice fields in Jatiluwih, so it’s a great pick if you want a local experience. Just go :)

I didn’t stay long, but I had such a good time. Deni and her family were generous and kind, and shared so much with me. We walked through the rice fields, where she explained how everything works. The tracks start right next to her home, and there’s a waterfall about a 25-minute walk away. Deni cooks amazingly well. If you visit, try her authentic restaurant, the Anantaloka, about 8 minutes from her home. Thanks, Deni and family!

The family were so sweet, and had great suggestions for visiting the nearby rice fields and hot springs. I can’t say enough good things about them. The rooms were peaceful and comfortable for recharging. They served coffee they grow and roast themselves, always put a little treat out at breakfast, and even let me cook dinner with them. Such a wonderful homestay!
