Bintang Mulia Hotel

The price is pretty cheap, and the service is good, though it could be better. The hotel looks and feels nice to stay in even though the building and design seem old. It isn't in the best location, but it's still close to a main road. Recommended if you're staying in Jember.

The cleanliness bothered me a bit, so if you're really particular about that, you might find it annoying. Still, the bed was fairly comfy, the room was a decent size, and the air conditioning was okay. It's an average budget hotel, neither very good nor very bad, with a pool for some fun. If you mainly need a place to sleep, shower, or swim, it could work.

Bintang Mulia Hotel is a well-known, long-established place in a convenient spot. It's set back from the main road, but not far away, so it's a good place to rest. The hotel is very clean, the staff are hospitable, and there's a nice view for photos. Recommended 😊

We arrived in the evening, exhausted, and were told the room was only available for Rp 250 with breakfast. Agoda showed Rp 200 with breakfast, but reception said they couldn't match it. We asked to remove breakfast and just get the room, but they refused and said it was breakfast only. They then told us to book through Agoda, so I wasted time booking through another site, which would also charge them a commission. The staff weren't welcoming. We waited 10 minutes for the room to be made up, and it still wasn't ready. We had booked one large bed but were given two small ones instead. Worst of all, the toilet door wouldn't close, and there were rolled-up slippers where the doorknob should have been. The front door lock was broken too, and the air conditioner didn't work well.
