8/10
The staff were really friendly and quick to help me find a parking spot, and the location and facilities make this a place I’d recommend. Still, the parking situation and pool cleanliness could use attention. The bedspread and pillowcases also had visible stains, so they should be cleaned better or replaced.

The rooms were cozy and clean, and the service was good. It’s also in a handy spot right in the city center.

I had trouble relying on the Wi-Fi, since it kept disconnecting and made working difficult. Even so, my first stay at Java Lotus Hotel in Jember left me with a good impression. The room was clean and looked after, the amenities and hygiene were good, and breakfast had plenty of satisfying choices. It’s right in the center, with shops, restaurants, and places to visit within walking distance. For Jember, I’d put it just behind Hotel Aston and would recommend it for business or leisure.

4/10
The friendly staff and decent service couldn’t make up for how disappointing the stay was. I expected better from a four-star hotel. Food options were poor and didn’t taste good, and the tables were dirty. The sheets had yellowing and makeup marks that looked like they’d been used for years.

I was pleasantly surprised by the room atmosphere and the quality of service, and ended up very satisfied. The staff were professional, friendly, and genuinely helpful, which gave me the sense that the hotel is well established. The towels were dull, though, and really need replacing.
