Luminor Hotel Jember, formerly Hotel Panorama, is a two-storey property with a distinct 1990s feel. It’s simple and functional but well kept. There’s a lush inner garden, along with a ballroom and two function rooms. A straightforward hotel that offers good value and delivers what it promises.

Dearest luminor hotel, I’m still giving you 5 stars, though I’m a bit disappointed. I understand there was no welcome drink because it’s fasting month, and maybe it’s the hotel’s policy during Ramadan. I’m staying in deluxe room 304 until April 1st, and I’m still deciding whether to add more days. Water kept leaking from under the refrigerator. I asked staff twice to come mop it, but it didn’t stop, so eventually I gave up contacting the hotel and used the available mat myself. There were lots of ants on the walls, red spots on the pillowcases, and the water dispenser was empty. What I do like is the strategic location and the friendly staff, though some of them could use more training. I hope these issues can be looked into and improved for the future. My best regards.

The bed was soft and the pillows and blankets were nice, but the rest of the room wasn’t good. The shower pressure was weak, the walls were dirty, and there was dirt on the floor. My key stopped working twice, so I had to go back to the lobby. I heard visitors screaming outside until midnight. In the morning, prayer woke me at 5, then at 6 locals were walking around and shouting something, maybe about breakfast or something else. The hotel looks nice and could be a really nice place, but a lot of little issues put me off returning. I wouldn’t recommend it.

The AC was cool, which was the one good thing for me. The hotel is very old, and the rooms seem to have had only a small makeover. Both the room and bathroom are tiny. When you shower, everything gets wet, including the toilet. There’s no chair to sit on in the room, only outside. For this price, I wouldn’t say it’s almost the same as Aston. It’s a much lower class.
