Villa Morphosis

For anyone seeing a different photo on Traveloka, this is the accommodation I’m reviewing. I got a promotional rate of just 95 for a standard room with an outside bathroom, and it felt worth it. The place was clean, near the city center, and the staff were friendly. I didn’t get a blanket or towel, though. Maybe they could put shampoo and liquid soap in the bathroom. Thank you.

The room felt stuffy, and even the standard room had a bathroom outside. They didn’t deliver to the room, and the food cost twice as much. I’d rather stay at another hotel than this villa.

For about 100,000 Rupiah on Traveloka, it was decent enough for my transit stop. The receptionist was friendly, though we had to ask before getting the Wi-Fi. The twin beds felt a bit cramped. There was a mirror and dressing table, wardrobe, fan, and TV, but I didn’t get a chance to turn the TV on. The lighting was a little painful. The bathroom is outside and shared, so guests have to queue. Bring your own towels and toiletries, since none are provided. There’s no breakfast, but the room had two small bottles of Cleo.

I booked well ahead and paid through an OTA, but they charged me VAT again at check-in. The room had ants, the mattress dipped flat in the middle, and there was no indication that standard rooms came with a fan. The bathroom was outside.
