Harum Manis Cottages

The rooms, nature, and Gallery look beautiful, and we liked the place itself. But we didn't feel welcome, and the service made it hard to enjoy our stay. Maybe the owner didn't speak English well, but when we asked for beer, she brought three for our group of six. We asked for three more and she ignored us. A man eventually brought more, but they weren't cold. When we asked if she could put them in the fridge, she chilled two and then spent over ten minutes looking at the last cold beer sitting in the kitchen while we were thirsty. Half of us got a drink and half waited for nothing. If she'd communicated with us instead of ignoring us, we would have ordered and paid. There was also confusion over the bill after we ordered from the menu. Some of us had already eaten dinner when she said the price had changed. And when we asked for advice about the ferry because there were two departures and we wanted to order a Bolt, the advice was wrong, so the taxi driver wouldn't pick us up. They'd offered a transfer to the ferry, but we needed a bigger car or two cars and declined it. If you just want somewhere to sleep, it's fine. For a nice stay, a big no.
