Jepara Marina Beach Bungalows

The staff were nice, but the room was dirty, the hotel was noisy, and construction was going on. The beach was more crowded than downtown Jakarta. I had booked a week and left after one night, with no refund under the policy. I understand why now. I moved to La Famille Apartments nearby, which was cheaper and gorgeous. Best decision I made that week.

On the third floor, the rooms get extremely hot during the day. The AC doesn't cool effectively because the airflow goes toward the door instead of over the bed. It'd be great if the owner added reflective film to the glass windows to block sunlight and positioned the AC better.

The view of the beach was good, and we picked this hotel because it was cheap and the best option among the other hotels along the shoreline. It has its own swimming pool, and the balcony connects behind the rooms so every room can access it. The maintenance team was good, and the AC worked well. We stayed in Room 3A, which I'd suggest for the view. The hot water wasn't working on our first day, but after we complained the following day, it was available. Breakfast was really good. I had Bubur Ayam and coffee.

At night, you can walk around for inexpensive local food, including satay, nasi goreng, sosia goreng, and there's a toserba grocery store too, so you won't have to worry about going hungry. The staff were very friendly and helpful. After I fell on the hotel's shortcut stairs to the beach, they even bought us a Betadine. For a beach hotel, the price is good. The room was comfortable, with a private bathroom and a view. Breakfast had nice choices, both local and western.
