OYO 3997 The Bingin Sari Jimbaran

I had a great four-day stay here and would definitely recommend it. It’s quiet and clean, and there’s a kitchen with a refrigerator.

The staff were polite, which was the only positive for me, apart from the owner. I can’t recommend staying here. I arrived at 9 PM feeling unwell, so I decided not to leave that evening, and contacted the owner and Agoda about the condition of the room. At 7 AM the owner knocked on my door, raised his voice, and said Agoda had contacted him. He apologized, but didn’t seem concerned and just asked when I planned to leave. It took several messages with him and Agoda, and hours, before the cancellation was accepted. I found it to be the dirtiest place I’ve stayed in Bali. There was a strong bad smell as soon as I entered, so I had to open the windows. The toilet was shockingly unclean. There was only half a roll of toilet paper, and the shampoo and soap containers were almost empty. The towels had black stains, the sheets were visibly dirty, and the pillowcases were yellowed with dark marks. Nothing smelled fresh or clean, and it was very hard to sleep. The mattress was uncomfortably hard, too. I couldn’t shower because the water was cold. I tried to find someone around 10pm, but nobody was there, though I understand that was a bit late. It was also extremely noisy: dogs barking, chickens crowing, staff talking loudly early in the morning, road noise from scooters, and footsteps on the stairs. The curtains didn’t block the light properly, which made it hard for light sleepers to rest. There’s ongoing construction at the property as well, so expect more noise during your stay.

The guesthouse has a lovely pool, comfortable common areas, and a fully equipped shared kitchen and dining space, making it a nice place to work or enjoy a meal. Wi-Fi was reliable and there was plenty of parking. The rooms get lots of natural light, have efficient air conditioning, and include hot showers. The owner and staff were warm and caring, and went out of their way to make the stay feel special. The neighborhood was peaceful, with breathtaking views of the iconic GWK statue. I absolutely recommend this place.

Really good value for the price, and the service was super friendly. The rooms are standard, but the pool area is beautiful and there’s a yoga space too. It’s very cheap for the facilities. One thing, they don’t have water.
