Christin made us feel right at home. She cooked for us, took us out and kept us laughing. She’s a really welcoming, friendly host, and I’d recommend the place to people on a small budget who have a big heart.

Christine was such an easygoing, friendly host, and even cooked us dinner. I loved staying here and felt at home. The wifi worked quickly both in the room and outside, though getting the password meant singing for it. There’s plenty of parking for cars and motorcycles. Restaurants, a mini mart, a gas station, Udayana University and GWK are nearby. Highly recommended.

Christine is kind and soft-hearted, and after getting to know her I couldn't imagine distrusting her. We had heard the story about Brittany and her friends, including the state of their room and two empty strips of morning after pills. Ask Christine if you want the full account, she says she left it on facebook. I suspect one of the many casanovas who visited may have robbed them, and that they blamed Christine to limit their loss, but that's only my guess. Brittany's review caused Christine a lot of distress and financial loss. This is a great place for a fair price, so stay in peace, though the mattresses are hard. The review below seemed as far from the truth as possible and played on our worst fears. We asked Christine about what happened, and came away thinking having Brittany and her group stay must be one of the worst things that can happen to a hostel. I can't go into every detail, but I know myself to be perceptive. I'd notice a lie this big, and I don't think Christine could pull one off.

Our valuables were taken from our locked room, so don't stay here. On arrival it looked like a cute little bed and breakfast. Christine, the manager, said everyone was like family and told us to call her mom. One afternoon we came back and found our belongings gone. We went to her for help, but she didn't help us. We asked her to call the TOURIST police, but she called Indonesian policemen, who are known for corruption, and spoke to them in Balinese the whole time. There were only two keys, she said, one for us and one for her. We obviously didn't steal our own things, which leaves Christine, who had the other key. An iPad, 1000usd, 3 credit cards, jewelry, shoes and clothes were taken. Even so, she demanded the FULL room price. A friend had carried most of her money and still had half the total room rate, but Christine wouldn't accept it and said we couldn't prove our things were stolen. Seriously, nobody should stay here.
