Tropico Jimbaran Bali

The staff were very friendly, and the food was good, though the choices were limited. The pool is a decent size, and the hotel was clean and well kept when I stayed years ago, around when it may have just opened. There was some noise from chickens or traffic, but it wasn’t enough to spoil the stay. You get what you pay for, and it’s a decent hotel.

There’s an Indomaret right at the hotel entrance, and the air conditioning worked great. Our deluxe double was comfortably spacious, with a king bed, two bottled waters, two coffee cups, a kettle, and some sachet drinks. The shower had a soap and shampoo pump, but no other toiletries, and there weren’t any teaspoons. The sliding doors lock with keys. The pool was so shallow that I couldn’t tell if it was meant to be used or was just decorative. The rooms aren’t very soundproof, so we heard cars revving and babies crying at night. The friendly staff made check-in and checkout easy. At first the facilities looked a bit run-down, like a budget hotel, so we were worried when we arrived for our two-day stop. The main rooms are behind that area and look more like a resort.

The location is great for reaching the beaches around Nusa Dua, Ulu Watu, and Jimbaran. There was plenty of parking, so driving here was no problem. Great value.

The washroom wasn’t clean, which was disappointing. Still, the Wi-Fi and pool were very clean and good, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The stay was quite good overall.
