We felt right at home here for almost a week. The well-equipped kitchen came in handy whenever we wanted to make our own meals. The host was flexible and really helpful, sharing great local tips. The villa is clean, beautifully furnished and minimalist, and all the rooms are pretty and comfortable. Thanks for a lovely stay, we’d definitely come back!

I found the place very dangerous and dirty. There were many wild dogs, which made me worry about staying there with children. The air conditioners worked poorly and sometimes not at all. I was there with my 1-year-old baby, and after the first night we wanted to leave. The curtains were very thin, so the scorching sun shone into the room, making it even hotter and impossible to sleep in during the day. There were also lots of giant spiders in the house. My little one crawled everywhere, and the day after I asked the manager named Frans to remove a giant dead spider, my baby found the same one again. The manager had only moved it aside instead of throwing it outside. We paid a lot for a house with a pool but couldn't swim because it was dirty and broken. We had lived in different parts of Bali for 4 years and never had these problems anywhere else. When I left, I cleaned the house immaculately and even bought expensive brown sugar for future guests, as I always like to leave a nice bonus. My baby broke one glass tea jar, so I replaced it the same day with a glass jar, though I couldn't find one with the same design. We were also in a dangerous situation when the electricity went out. The manager ignored us and didn’t help restore it. My baby and I spent the whole day without food or water. It was hot because the air conditioners weren’t working, and we couldn’t shower because the shower ran on electricity. The manager was lazy, and the villa garden was always dirty and neglected. He didn’t water the flowers or grass. I watered the garden and swept the villa myself, even though I needed to look after the baby, not clean the garden. The owner was very rude and inattentive, and called me rude and crazy because I wasn’t happy with her hospitality. I don’t recommend this villa. Take care of yourself and your children.

The view from upstairs was my favorite part. From the second floor I could relax and look out over Jimbaran Beach, which was so pretty. We spent four nights here as a family, and everything went well. I come to Bali almost every year, so here are a few things I noticed: The rooms are roomy, with clean sheets that feel hotel quality. The kitchen was clean and had all the tools we needed, and the pool was clean too. There’s plenty of parking, and it felt safe for our car and motorcycles. Bli Komang, our helper, was there every day. The location worked well for us, close to a supermarket and mall, as well as places like GWK. You can also head to Pandawa Beach to rent a canoe. The lane to the villa is a little dark, as some reviews mention, but I had no problem with it. There are lots of neighbors, and it’s only 350 meter from the main road, about a 1-2 minutes drive or a 5 minutes walk. A couple of things could be better: only 2 rooms have toilet bidets, and the villa design isn’t especially trendy, though it doesn’t feel too old either. More lighting in the pool would be nice for swimming at night. I’d definitely consider staying here again.

Villa Lalang Temu has a calm tropical feel, with comfortable places to relax and a cozy private pool.

The pool was filthy, and I found the manager disrespectful. The villa is in an isolated, dark location, and the stray dogs were a nuisance as well as a safety concern. A bad place to stay.
