Yusro Hotel Restaurant & Convention

The staff were super nice and helpful, and the service was great. Even though it's a Muslim hotel, there are signs of tolerance all around the building: I saw a Christmas tree and a corner with holy books from different religions. Awesome!

I've stayed here a few times over the years, and the rooms have always been clean and comfortable. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the rates are reasonable. Breakfast is an Indonesian buffet with a remarkable range of well-prepared dishes from across Indonesia. I also appreciate the hotel's religious feel: each room has the Quran, a Bible, a titipaka, the Bhagavad Gita, and a Chinese tse tsu, with each book in three languages. I've never come across another hotel that tries to inspire guests whatever their religion.

The food tasted good, but the room was dark and creepy, hygiene was poor, and the rates were too high. I stayed in the back section past the aula, and it felt like a horror movie. My niece wouldn't stop crying. Management should renovate the whole place.

The service was good, but the room walls were cracked. The pool was really, really dirty: I counted at least 15 dead mosquitoes and 5 dead spiders, plus one live spider gliding across the water. Two stars.
