With the new management under the name AO Guest House & Cafe, the hotel has gotten better. They’ve updated the facilities and service.

I booked through Agoda on December 10th, and this whole experience with the Agoda app has been disappointing. They say this hotel is like a place to test your courage. At the front gate, all the lights were off except for two rooms. It looked as if someone were peeping. The guard said only one room was occupied, but there was no sign of anyone inside. There were no cars or motorcycles besides my vehicle. I got goosebumps when I entered the room. It felt creepy: one door led to two rooms, and the bathroom was far away. At the start of our conversation, I didn’t realize the guard had said it was okay for a teenager to be brave in that room. The guard was very arrogant and told me to go home if I didn’t like the room, even though I’d already paid through Agoda. Then they asked me for another 150. This is a complete scam. I decided to leave that creepy place. I hope the hotel is blocked and deactivated soon, because there are many odd things and disembodied creatures roaming around the lobby and rooms. Be careful. To the guard: if I weren’t a newcomer, I’d have ripped your arrogant mouth apart. I hope you get the karma you deserve for deceiving people. Thank you.

I booked through Traveloka, but at check-in they asked for extra money, saying they had overbooked. I booked another room, and they still asked for another 50,000 IDR per room. My sister was checking in. When I went down to check in, the woman took issue with my infant, even though no other hotel I’ve stayed at has done that with babies. She even peered into the car and checked every single person. It was rude and disrespectful. Then she got angry for no reason and said it would be better to get a refund. She returned the money, thank God, right in front of me. So I didn’t have to deal with Traveloka. I ended up staying at this hotel instead. It was spooky, dirty, and poorly maintained. The reception area looked like a boarding house for failed students. Luckily, God made it possible for me not to stay there. There were no residents at all. I don’t recommend coming here at all. This was my first time encountering a hotel like this.
