Tanjung Alam Hotel

I’ve never experienced such poor hospitality or disrespect. The woman was extremely rude, and we didn’t get the breakfast we had paid for. When we asked to reserve a room, she muttered under her breath and said there wasn’t one, even though the place was empty. We spoke to another worker, who gave us a room. When she saw us talking to him, she came over and got really angry. Once we finally agreed on the room, she told us to be out by 9 a.m., even though checkout was at noon. This was the worst place I’ve ever stayed. I won’t be coming back, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

The beach is calm and nice for relaxing, and you can rent a boat to go out in the morning. If you’re lucky, you might see dolphins!💕 For a budget hotel it’s pretty good, though breakfast is average and the hygiene needs work. The restaurant is full of dust, and since dust allergies are common, I think it should be cleaned better. Keep your door shut all night because there are lots of bugs around the terrace.

The bathrooms looked very, very dirty, and there was trash everywhere. Bugs were crawling across the floor, the beach wasn’t walkable, and the restaurant was awful. The place hasn’t been newly renovated. Don’t be fooled by the online pictures. I booked here but had to leave because it was so uncomfortable.

We told Airbnb we’d arrive at 11 p.m., and our room was already booked and paid for. But when we got there, the hotel was closed and apparently no longer operating. Why the owner didn’t refuse our booking is a mystery. I hope nobody else books and runs into the same problem. I’ll write an angry review on Airbnb and try to get my money back. From what I can see on Google, we aren’t the first to arrive at night and discover that the hotel is little more than a stupid joke.
