Choko Homestay

The owner was kind, easy to reach, and responsive. Since the house is on the edge of town, it was peaceful and quiet enough for a good night's sleep. We enjoyed the garden for some fresh air and morning coffee, and the inside of the house was clean, even though the front fence looked like the picture. For around 300,000 Rupiah, you get a shared house with two fairly spacious rooms, parking, a furnished kitchen, two bathrooms, a TV, sofa, water, and towels. The beds can be split up, so six people can manage, but check the extra guest fee with the owner first. I understand there's a charge, though the add-on isn't much less than the price for four. We had a nice stay and I'd come back if I'm in Solo or nearby.

The two rooms and two bathrooms made this a comfortable overnight stay for our family. It also has TV, Wi-Fi, hot water, and a full set of dishes. Thanks, and all the best!

The place itself may be good, but the owner is far too fussy about telling people what to do. With service like that, I won't return or recommend it to friends or relatives.

The owner talked a lot and kept reminding us about things. We got a call a few days before check-in asking us to arrive late because it was high season, then the day before check-in they asked us to leave early for the same reason. He also called repeatedly to tell us to fill the bathroom buckets with water, keep things clean, and dispose of rubbish properly. Those things didn't need to be repeated so much, it just made us feel put off.
