Canggu Rooftop Villas

The view is great, and the design feels cozy. Good WiFi, an enclosed living room, no mosquitoes, and a great location too. Nyoman, the villa manager, was so helpful, friendly, and responsible the whole time. One thing about the cleaning staff: they only do a general clean, so if you’re planning to move in, it might be worth arranging extra cleaning or doing some yourself.

I tried emailing management with photos of the place and got no reply. After reading Melissas's review, it sounded like she’d had exactly the same experience. The sheets had disgusting stains and were rarely changed. We had to call each day for towels, and the ones brought to us were grey, dirty, and full of holes. The toilet hadn’t been cleaned since we arrived, with stains and who knows what stuck to the bowl. There were cobwebs, dead bugs, and grime on the bathroom floor. The teatowel they gave us looked like an old rag. My mum’s room next door had the same problems, and she had no cooking utensils apart from a pot lid. We repeatedly asked for some shade on the rooftop because it was unusable without it. The photos showed a bed with cloth above it for shade, but that wasn’t there when we arrived. They wouldn’t refund us and didn’t listen to reasonable cleanliness requests. I wouldn’t recommend this place. Worst stay.

Once you find it, this is a lovely place to stay. It can be a bit hard to locate, but the view and air conditioning are great. The floor-to-ceiling windows bring in lovely natural light, and the private pools are the real thing.

The price was good, and the location worked really well. Staff were very nice and professional. Some areas are a little worn, but they’re renovating now and should be updated soon.
