Hotel Liberta Seminyak

I feel for the staff, who were very helpful, but this place shouldn’t be listed on booking.com or Webjet and ought to be shut down. We had three rooms. The first had black mold, so we had to move, and it needed cleaning three times. The second had no toilet paper and the bathroom had to be cleaned twice. In my room there was no bedside table, so I had to put everything on the floor. The toilet seat was broken and dirty, and I wiped it with alcohol before using it. You expect to get what you pay for, but even that saying doesn’t cover this place.

Our room flooded across the floor on the second-last day, and the TV never worked properly. We also had trouble with the lifts, which were out of order for a few days. The mini bar listed in the booking wasn’t there, so we had to ask the cleaners for one. Staff customer service was poor, and the noise at night made it hard to sleep.

We liked how easy it was to get around from Liberta Seminyak. It’s right in central Seminyak, with cafes, shops and attractions close by, whether walking or taking a scooter. There’s parking on site and security staff, so arriving and getting in felt easy. The staff were friendly, and our room was clean and well maintained for the price. The hallway noise was the main downside. We could clearly hear people talking and walking past, so it may be tough if you’re a light sleeper or go to bed early. Also, closing the door doesn’t lock it automatically. You need to use the key to lock it yourself. It’s an affordable, well located place with clean rooms. Bring earplugs if you’re sensitive to noise, and remember to lock the door.

Whenever I’m in Petitenget, I come back here. The prices are affordable, the food is tasty, and the service is great. Mita at the Front Office deserves a shout-out for her hospitality.
